Eng. Abdullah Alhazani joined the National Industrial Clusters Developing Program (NICDP) in September 2007 after more than eight years of experience with Saudi Aramco. During his career in Saudi Aramco, Eng. Alhazani was involved in the development of several programs and projects including the startup and commissioning of a new gas plant, project management, operations optimization, and new technologies upgrade projects.
During the startup phase of NICDP, he worked on developing the strategies for the overall clusters development with key focus on Automotive industry. Since then Eng. Alhazani’s focus has been on the business development and negotiation of several projects with global automotive companies including the Japanese Isuzu Truck Plant which started operations in 2012. Eng. Alhazani also led the development of the innovative Auto City concept as the basis for developing a competitive automotive cluster in the Kingdom.
Eng. Alhazani holds an executive MBA degree with distinction in global management and international business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
