Eng. AbdulMajeed holds a postgraduate Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Advanced Design, Manufacture and Management from Cambridge University, UK and a Bachelor's, with Honour, in Applied Chemical Engineering, from KFUPM University, Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
He gained 11 years' experience with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) in Technical Evaluation. The evaluation included follow-up project implementation through to commercial startup.
AbdulMajeed's role in Technical Evaluation covered all major elements related to Capital Costs, Operating Costs, Technology Assessment & Selection, ITB Evaluation and Execution strategy. At SIDF, he also handled Sipchem Acetic Acid Complex, TASNEE Polymer Complex and SAUDI KAYAN projects. In total, AbdulMajeed conducted more than 45 Project Technical Studies for small, medium and large scale projects in different industrial sectors.
AbdulMajeed left SIDF in 2009 as Senior Technical Consultant and joined the National Industrial Clusters Development Program (IC) as an Industrial Enabling Specialist. One year later he was appointed Director of Clusters Industrial Enabling where his duties are focused on how the IC's targeted industries can be enabled through KSA's industrial regularity framework and current industrial sector capability, as well as lobbying different government agencies.
AbdulMajeed is also the Saudi-side General Secretary of the Saudi Japan Industrial Cooperation Joint Taskforce and is a member of the Advisory Committee for Sipchem Product & Application Development Center representing the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals.
